Standalone access control systems

Standalone access control systems comprise of a singular keypad/reader on a single door or gate. These systems are suitable for one or two door installations within small offices, private houses, building sites, schools or retail units.

They can include a 1 to 1 intercom system, and can be opened by a range of devices, such as a keypad code, a fob or access card, a phone call, an app, or even facial recognition.

These systems work with a range of locks, from the latch releases used on regularly opened office doors, to full length mag locks designed to hold several tons of force.

Networked access control systems

Networked access control systems comprise of a multiple doors and locks, each with their own readers, all controlled by a central controller or pc. These systems are suitable larger offices or multi use premises

These systems can control from one to thousands of doors and all control is from one main computer system. The computer software can access and update all doors and can grant different access levels for groups or individual users.

In the event of an emergency, such as a fire alarm,  systems can be configured to automatically open all doors, or selected doors, so that people in the building have quick and uninhibited egress of the building. 

They can also be used as a time keeping system to log entry/exit times and add and remove users.
